Meet The Doctor
Dr. Michael Yuen was born in Williams Air Force Base, Arizona and spent his life in various parts of the United States due to his father’s service in the U.S. Air Force. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He went on to attend the University of Illinois, Chicago where he received his DDS degree in 2006. He practiced as a general dentist for several years, and it was during this time that he realized his passion for endodontics. Dr. Yuen returned to the University of Illinois, Chicago to complete his advanced specialty training in Endodontics.
He worked as an associate in a private practice endodontic office in Rochester, Michigan for several years. In addition, he taught part-time as an associate clinical professor in the post-graduate and undergraduate endodontic programs at the University of Detroit-Mercy.
Dr. Yuen actively participates in continuing education, and he enjoys volunteering in the community and teaching endodontics. His special interests include regenerative endodontics and dental trauma management.
As a member of your treatment team, Dr. Yuen will keep you involved and informed in all aspects of the dental treatment planning and decision-making process.
He has family all over Oahu and moved to Hawaii to be closer to his family.
